Cellulite Nemesis

What you can do today

Well, it's that time of year.  The weather is getting steamy and it's now time to wear shorts and bathing suits.  Your ready or at least you think you are and then you take a look in the mirror...uh oh.

I've already had phone calls and texts asking me what do you have that will help?  First, give yourself a break.  You are beautiful inside and out including with the cellulite.

Next, you have to know you can't get rid of cellulite. But, it's not harmful to your overall health. You can reduce the appearance of cellulite through a combination of exercise, nutrition, and even some plant medicine.

There are so many options now, but today I am going to speak about some DIY options.  There are some things you can do.

Don't skip your nutrition and exercise.  Start one of our nutrition programs - we have so many to choose from and you can do them virtually.  Baby steps but just start!  You don't need a gym for exercise unless you need to get away or you need the help of a trainer to keep you motivated or train you on appropriate exercise.

I am a big fan of coffee-sugar scrubs and yes you can use a dry brush, but really you just need to hop in your shower and scrub away!  I'm going to post a recipe below for you to look at and you can make it yourself at home.

In a rush?  Cucumber slices.  Yes, that's right. The phytochemicals in cucumbers actually stimulates the collagen to tighten your skin on the spot to give you the appearance of decreased cellulite.

There are also a bunch of essential oil and carrier oils that can come together and actually reduce the appearance of cellulite and make your skin healthy and hydrated.  I call my recipe "cellulite nemesis".  Reach out if you'd like to try some.

Remember after any treatment please use sunblock before you go outside.

Let me know what you think about the coffee-sugar scrub recipe!

Coffee-Sugar Scrub:

1 cup of finely ground coffee

1/2 cup of a carrier oil - I recommend one of the following three (almond oil, pomegranate oil, or coconut oil).  I like pomegranite added just because it is natures sunblock. You can mix it with another carrier and just add 1/4 cup of each.

1/3 cup brown sugar

1/3 cup white sugar

1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

4 cinnamon bar or cinnamon leaf essential oils

Add everything together in a bowl and mix well.  Store in an air tight container that cannot be "see through".  So dark glass or dark high quality plastic.  It's important to prevent the light from getting through.  Date the container and you can keep this for up to 12 months.

Don't eat it so keep away from children.  After the scrub rinse really well to get the scrub off of your skin.  Please note that your skin will be irritated with any scrub so don't forget to moisturize and use sun block!
